I've heard about the parasitic nature of mistletoes but didn't know that some lives depend on it. But then that's what it's always like in nature, isn't it, that there needs to be a balance. Like you say, we can learn so much from it, be it its story or biology or just learning to be mindful when bathing in it. I love being in nature and with spring, I can't wait to make more time to go outside again. Lovely post! <3

So lovely. Sometimes seeing a special flower or tree or bird feels similar to seeing a celebrity. I feel star struck. At least that's how I felt last week when I saw the first crocuses of Spring sticking out of the ground in Amsterdam.

Thanks for sharing such a delicate glimpse into your world. Had a fellow introvert reminiscing about childhood, growing up and my own deep introspection. Happy friday too btw!

The mud squishing between toes is peak existence for me! I didnt know mistletoe was technically a parasite, wow, that’s truly fascinating.

I’ve been trying to be more connected to nature myself, trying to do ‘natural walks’ with no headphones (no music or podcasts) and it’s been amazing. Started a little ‘nature’ folder in my phone for all the pictures I take from these walks lol.

Loved this!

thank you for reading! i love the idea of nature walks! it’s a great way to immerse ourselves in nature as well as being present by taking photos of what we see. i was also surprised to find that mistletoe is parasitic. i’m sure there are so many other interesting facts that i didn’t know before waiting to be explored 🫶

this absolutely cried out to the little girl in me who spent every waking moment in nature. it's really hard to find a balance between having to work both a FT and PT job, prioritize fitness, care for the home, cook fresh meals daily, work towards building my dream businesses/career, maintain relationships and somehow regulate my nervous system, practice *some* level of curiosity, engage in creative hobbies, and spend time in nature. how is one to remain present when their daily life demands 36 hours, rather than 24? this made my heart ache for the presence i feel as though i'm losing in all of the noise and the hustle & bustle of the life i'm currently living. but also acts as a reminder of how vital it is that i find a way to bring back that childlike wonder and connection with nature. thank you!

thank you for reading! it can definitely be hard to fit in time for nature like we had before as children. i think if we can just take at least five minutes to just sit and observe, it could be enough sometimes. i hope to do it myself more often as spring emerges <3

Wow! I had absolutely no idea about mistletoe either! Incredible 🤍 also I love it when friends or people in general point out those little nuggets of facts as if they’ve known it for a while and they’re so nonchalant about it. I love that. Clearly it’s something that interested them❤️

i love learning new things through other people too! especially when you can see they are passionate about it and excited to share their knowledge with you. i’d love to learn more cool facts about nature so i can pass them along as well. thank you so much for reading 🫶
