this is so beautiful, i can feel how beautiful it felt that morning to be kissed by the sun!! having your heart broken feels like thousands of arrows are carved to your heart, your heart still keeping you alive but you don’t feel like you are. a part of you is shattered on the floor like glass and it takes a lot of time to repaire those wounds, to glue the pieces back together only to realise when you just finished stitching the wound close, it opened again. healing feels so insane, because sometimes you are fine and the wound feels healed, but other times it feels like it is caught up in flames again, burning.
i love how you write what you love and you don’t stick to only one form of art, but you try and explore the things you are interested in, that you love <3 i loved this poem so much, and i am sending so much love & hugs for you 🫂 take care of yourself, and give yourself time 🤍
thank you julia, for you words. heartbreak isn’t easy but it makes it less painful to know that i’m not alone in the feeling and experience. i’m so happy you loved this poem. i loved writing it and was so excited to share it although i don’t really post poetry on here. you are a rare and sweet light here on substack, im so happy to have you here 🫶
This is such a stunningly beautiful piece. Opening a book on such days, I often choose to lie back on my bed just so that I can watch how the sun and it's shadows drift across my sheets and onto the wall as I flick through the pages. Your words capture this so enchantingly.
There must be something in the summer air. I was getting ready to post a short poem of mine with similar sentiments (albeit a little more melancholic).
Love love love poetry, and can't wait to read more of your writing.
thank you andy! that’s so interesting to hear that you also wrote a poem similar to this and i’m excited to read it! when i’m reading with the sunshine, i go back and forth from reading my book and coming back to the present moment to admire the sunshine on the pages. it’s like living two great joys at once. thank you again for being here and for sharing your own insight 🫶
I've got another poem about light in my notes app. I think it's my favourite piece I've written, but also feels more personal, so slightly apprehensive of sharing it 🫣 will post it soon I promise.
thank you adriana! one of my favorite ways to find stillness in the morning is to glance around the room and see how the sunlight squeezes its way into shapes and shadows. i was hoping to capture this sight within my words. i’m happy you saw that vision. i do plan to post more poetry here and im excited for this new art form. thank you again for reading and leaving your kind words <3

This is the short piece I was thinking of, sharing similar imagery for the way sunlight trickles into our lives,
